You can get NARCAN (Naloxone) nasal spray at NCVRC free of charge! If you or someone you care about is at risk of an overdose from an opiate, please call us or stop in anytime during our open hours to receive a dose of NARCAN to have on hand.
The lifesaving treatment for an opiate overdose, NARCAN/naloxone, is now available at North Central Vermont Recovery Center. This can be distributed to those addicted, as well as family, friends, and loved ones of people with Opioid Use Disorders at no cost.
If you are a person (parent, other family member, friend) who has reason to believe you may encounter someone in your life experiencing an opiate overdose, you could save that person’s life and bring them back from an opiate overdose if you have this medication on hand. It is simple to administer, once you learn the basic instructions.
