Volunteer at NCVRC

Being of service to others helps build a strong, inclusive, and successful community.

Volunteering at NCVRC is a great way to meet new people and be a part of a healthy and helpful organization.

Volunteers can commit to as many or as few hours each week as their schedule permits. We prefer to have two volunteers on duty and for shifts to be three hours long. When applicable, we provide opportunities for people in longer-term recovery to give back to their community, and often, for college interns to gain experience/hours they need to complete a part of their education. We help to provide supervised opportunities for those needing community service hours. All volunteers must go through an application and orientation process. Monthly trainings are held to keep the team unified and informed.

HELP BUILD A STRONG RECOVERY COMMUNITY

If you are interested in Volunteering at NCVRC, you can fill out the application below, or stop by and pick an application up in person!

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

The primary role of all North Central Vermont Recovery Center (NCVRC) volunteer recovery support workers is to be an active and empathetic listener to the people who enter our doors. NCVRC welcomes many people each week, and each of them has their own story of recovery. Some of the stories are decades old, while others are much more recent. As the only recovery center in Lamoille County, NCVRC wants to be a source of comfort and support to anyone who wants and needs it. We rely on our volunteers to fill this role during our open drop-in hours of operation. Thank you for your interest in being a part of the healing that is happening at NCVRC.
