Job Title:  Parents in Recovery Support Program Coordinator

Summary:

The Parents in Recovery Support Program Coordinator is responsible for development and facilitation of programming and services specific to parents and families in or seeking recovery from Substance Use Disorder.  This position regularly engages with community partners to assist program participants with navigation of a wide range of services that can support individuals’ unique pathways to recovery and family stabilization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and disseminate Parents in Recovery Support Program materials

• Identify and coordinate and  peer support groups

• Provide peer support to individuals seeking or in the program

• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners

• Develop referral pathways to and from partner agencies/services for program participants

• Identify additional local recovery supports and connect program participants with supports as needed

• Connect program participants with Recovery Coaching services and other NCVRC programs and services

• Track and report monthly, quarterly, yearly on programmatic progress as required by NCVRC and to meet grant deliverables

• Carry out other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of needs specific to parents, families, and loved ones affected by Substance Use Disorders

• A peer in recovery is preferred

• Ability to identify and connect program participants with community resources

• Understanding and acceptance of all pathways to and in recovery from Substance Use Disorders

• A desire to engage in professional and personal development opportunities

• A willingness to achieve and maintain the Vermont recovery coaching certification, or have already achieved certification

• Ability to work independently and as a team

• Strong boundaries and ethics

• Strong commitment to safety and confidentiality of program participants

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• A Valid Driver’s License; reliable transportation
