Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and distributing the organization’s promotional materials via social media and web-based platforms. This position ensures the organization’s appearance to the public, guests, community partners, prospective employees, and potential donors aligns with the organization’s Vision and Mission to provide safe, welcoming, and supportive services for a diverse population of individuals in or seeking Substance Use Disorder (SUD) recovery support services.
Primary Responsibilities:

Design, write, and edit content for social media and other community engagement forums.

Develop and maintain a consistent “branding” of the organization

Plan and execute digital newsletter marketing and distribution, and social media engagement on behalf of the organization

Maintain the organization’s email distribution list of subscribers, donors, staff, and community partners

Select and prepare imagery for marketing campaigns and promotional materials

Measure and report performance of all digital and print marketing campaigns and assess against goals

Creation and distribution of strategic press releases, in coordination with the Executive Director

Attend weekly Staff Meetings

Attend, document, and report on community engagement events hosted or attended by the organization

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Proficiency with web-based platforms, including but not limited to Wix, Canva, and MailChimp, and social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook and Front Porch Forum

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Google Workspace, and Adobe

Experience with design, creation, reformatting, and distribution of digital media campaigns

Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

An appreciation for quality content and the ability to create it

Ability to multitask and take on multiple assignments

Experience with and/or clear understanding of Substance Use Disorder and the aspects of recovery from it. *If in recovery, a minimum of 2 years in recovery is preferred

Works well independently and with colleagues

A Valid Driver’s License; reliable transportation
